Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have had 2 years to prove they could lead Congress. They have given us an embarrassing partisan failure-a do-little U.S. Congress. It is time for the Democrats to elect leaders who will inspire the Congress and the electorate with intelligent and conscientious leadership and understand that strength does not always come from histrionic partisanship. Our current spirit crushing issues need to be addressed by a Congress whose leadership can rise above pure politics as usual. Compromise should reenter the Congressional lexicon.
