36 year old. Life long bmxer. Skated lots as a younger man. I firmly believe the park needs a update to the bowl area. The existing newer park has unidirectional flow and only allows for one user at a time to skate or ride safely. The bowl is in dire need of a update for both SAFETY and general usability. I feel a full size bowl or various depths and feature types is in dire need to a growing town like Powell river and well as the surrounding flat areas around the bowl needs updating to a plaza type set up and can both add a missing aspect to the park, reduce congestion/ add flow between the existing park and a hopeful updated bowl/ plaza area. Fingers crossed. Willing to help be it using my Bmx skills or carpentry knowledge

Yes I agree. We moved in dec and I take my boys to the park for biking. They are in the beginner level and when experienced kids pass through them they get scared for a second this could be dangerous. So if they have different levels like beginners, moderate and high challenges then accordingly kids can ride and the safety is maintained.

Yes very dangerous. Needs dedicated boundaries between jr and sr riders. A 90kg youth crashing onto a 30kg kid makes for an ugly incident and from what I’ve seen some
Of the parents are not educating their children about lineups and check ins

I think that would be an awesome improvement. A street tech section / plaza that complement the more flowy section that is already there.

My kids and I love to skate and all those little (and not-so-little) daredevils need a safe design.

A new skate board is needed for the bigs & littles. Doesn't have to be elaborate but something proper. Keep the one we have for the kids with the bikes. The kids/youth/young adults/young at heart, dont have alot to do in town, would be wonderful to expand it & make it safer & more fun
