Pollinators have been on this planet many moons before the patter of human feet. It was their hardwork which created such a diverse wild floral all over this planet. The same pollinators help feed the planet it is about time we repaid their tremendous work by providing floral havens to maintain their tremendous contribution to nature!!

As a bee keeper, all bees need as much help as we can give them and play an essential role in pollinating our plants. it's time we gave something back to our pollinators. The areas in newport that were planted up with wild flowers etc looked fantastic.

This is so important for everyone and for future generations. We don't need roadside verges to look like mown lawns and congratulate Monmouthshire County Councils proposals to undertake less orad side mowing. Its a win win for both wildlife and tax payers.

People need to accept slightly less cutting of verges, safety allowing, for the wildlife to benefit. We are trying to make the world too tidy. This will save money as well as wildlife.

Our beneficial insects need all the help they can get. And bees butterflies and moths lift our spirits and provide food for birds (which also lift our spirits). We've got room for them on our verges - just mow a bit later in the season.

An excellant idea! Great for council savings and even better for wildlife! How much prettier does everything look with a bit of colour in it and having the knowledge that wildlife is thriving can only be a good think! What better way to be stuck in traffic and admire nature at work!

We have a huge range of wildlife in our verges, appropriate cutting is vital for this to continue. So please cut once a year in the early Autumn where ever you can.

Given that road safety and visibility will always be given priority,I don't see that any harm can be done by this proposal.Monmouthshire is a beautiful county with much to be proud of in relation to wildlife and the environment.This proposal would enhance that and maintain and improve biodiversity.

Reduced roadside mowing was introduced where I previously lived, in the Forest of Dean: a good policy there, and certainly good too for Monmouthshire.

Why on earth do people want to see tidy, boring verges when there could be wild beautiful ones that are a pleasure to drive and walk past.and are valuable to wildlife.We need to stop this senseless mowing of verges.
