I agree! I see how young girls are they are so hard on themselves because they want to be like the filtered photos, unaware that they are filtered. I am tired of young girls thinking that beauty is all that they can offer. We are much more than that.

If you don’t naturally look like that/what you post then don’t post it because it’s not real. It’s fake advertising

This movement is so detrimental to mental health. For years women have been told what the standard of beauty is based on society’s agenda which companies use for financial gain. All women face the the same issues regardless of whether they are conscious or not of its effects on their mental health and every day life. Just as Huda said, beauty should be for empowerment. When someone thinks of beauty they shouldn’t think of what they lack or what some unobtainable standard looks like. Women shouldn’t feel self-conscious or inadequate. Yet, that’s what the idea “beauty” has become in our society. It has become an idea that you are never good enough. Now companies have built an empire around this idea by supporting it and adding “UNLESS you buy this” or “UNLESS you look like this and you can achieve that by buying our products”. The worse thing about all of this is that no one will ever take this seriously until it’s their mom, their aunt, their sister, their daughter, or their friend that’s being detrimentally affected by this. Their loved one that is wasting away with a frail body from an eating disorder because of this. Their loved one that is dealing with anxiety or depression because of this. Their loved one who has committed suicide because they have been bullied because of this. But what everyone fails to realize is by then it’s too late.

I really appreciate what she is saying because now a days we judge people or get judged by what we see on social media which is completely fake , we should stop this until it's too late. #everyoneisbeautifull #stopmakingfakebeautystandards

Yes I think it’s I’m important for my 4 daughters to have a realistic view of body image. They are made to fill so imperfect because of all their favorite influencers are so flawless but most of it isn’t real and a lot of pictures are photo shopped even live video have filters.

No one should have to feel they need to look a certain way to post on social media because everybody is unique and beautiful in there own way.
