Space Ape has just announced that Beatstar will be shut down on the 31st of October, 2025. This is devastating for the community who has spent years working on this game, and there’s even a modding scene for it! Don’t let this game die.
the decision to get rid of the game in its entirety is a huge middle finger in the faces of everyone that has played and enjoyed their game for years. the least they could do is make it playable offline

Sadly, there is little to be done. They are shutting down due to most of their staff moving to Duolingo. Only four remain to see Beatstar through it's closure. It hurts to see one of the best mobile rhythm games closing with no opportunity for private hosting :(

This game has been my favourite since I was a teen. Me and my mum ah this game together and competing for the higher score and has been one of a few few ways for me and my mum to have fun together while I work aboard for months at s time....I sincerely hope they reconsider this decision and keep this game alive so I can continue to have these special moments with my mum

The game is ending because licenses for the songs are very expensive while the player base is very small and most not investing. Honestly, only Apple could save this game. Adding Beatstar under Apple Arcade subscription and maintain the licenses easily! It is very unlikely, thats sad!

Please don't shut this game down. It's very close to my heart. My husband and I play together as a passtime every day. I played it when my son was born. Please don't shut down a game that millions of players love!

Beatstar needs to be saved by someone, it's kept me strong and alive through PTSD and trauma, it's taken me away from all my thoughts and worries for the time played it and it's continuing to help with my mental health..PLEASE SAVE BEATSTAR!
