Summer is heating up and yet again we are faced with another boring holiday period in Mount Barker. Unless we want to pay to see a movie or pay to swim at the pool, there is not a lot for us to do for free! Even a hit of tennis will cost you! This is not good enough! We should not have to PAY to exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle! We are asking the Council of Mount Barker to build Beach Volley Ball courts located either at Keith Stephenson Park or near the 'rage cage' at Mt Barker Oval. These courts will be FREE to access all year round (just bring your own ball!) We hope to organise a Volleyball competition each summer, which will run over one weekend, similar to the 'Slam Beach Volley Ball Festival' which will feature DJ's, Food and Entertainment, not to mention an amazing day in the sun with friends and family! This petition will be sent to the local council along with a formal letter, you could make the difference and put a stop to boring summers! Please sign :) Kate and Justin.
