I went to school in high island, without this road being properly fixed so many children on the peninsula could be forced to go to Galveston for school! That's just not right! Please fix the highway!

Have been coming to Bolivar Peninsula for 60 years. Has always been a problem with low lying areas between Gilchrist and High Island, however; the area at 87 and 124 has become progressively worse and needs immediate attention from the Texas Department Of Transportation.

This is a public safety issue that I would hope the Governor and Lt.Governor would recognize and get deeply involved in.A state of emergency should be declared for our safety

As a former resident of High Island on the Bolivar Peninsula I know how important this road is to the residents down there. Please fix this road!

Go look at JFK Causeway and see how it's been done there and working well.

87@124 is in desperate need of re-engineering. It has gotten to the point that it is dangerous to drive during inclement weather and some high tides. If something isn't done someone will get hurt.

Build up the high way. Or build a sea wall.

We will have no other way to escape in case of a hurricane, when the ferry is not running!

I do not live there at the present time, although I am in negotiations to buy a house there. But I lived there during Ike and know how quickly the roads get impassable.

Bolivar Peninsula is in the process of making a spectacular comeback after Hurricane Ike, but this situation causes us to rethink our investment in the community. Not only is it dangerous at times, but it is shameful that our State of Texas would allow this situation to go on any longer! Fix the highway! P,ease!

Texas should be ashamed to let the coastal roads go to ruin.

Please fix this. I have family being affected by this situation.

The fact that TxDot has ignored this is unacceptable & their "temporary fix" is a complete joke. This "study" should have been completed after Ike; not over 7 years later.
