As a Sabine Pass resident, this would be a great route put if Sabine for emergencies. And just amazing for a shorter drive instead of going all the way around.

Please fix our hwy 87! We demand to be kept safe and not be trapped by high tide especially In case of an approaching storm! Our escape route would be cut off long before the storm got close! This hwy needs to be raised! Too many people travel this road. Do the right thing and fix it.

To leave this highway in this condition is a travesty. After all the hard work & financial expense to recover from the ravages of Hurricane Ike and make this area BETTER than it was before, the state should feel a MORAL OBLIGATION even if they don't acknowledge the property owners tax dollars.

It is very inconvenient to have to drive to Bolivar by way of Galveston from the east. Please fix Highway 87....our beach road.

We have lived in Crystal Beach for 20 years and lost our house in Ike. We have been planning to come back but are really afraid because of the dangerous situation that the roads out of there pose. We were lucky to get out before Ike hit but now it looks
like just a high tide will make it impossible to get out if needed. Something has to be done to protect all these people that live here. It is not just people that have a 2nd home here, people actaually live here year round.
