
Beach Lifeguards in Guernsey


With a rise in beach/water users and water crafts within Guernsey - do you think the main beaches should be patrolled by fully Qualified Beach Lifeguards? Beach Lifeguards are employed worldwide to promote safety on the beaches and in the ocean. Beach Lifeguards have proven a high asset to the everyday beach user from a weaver fish sting to a major ocean rescue. With numbers of beach and oceans users increasing at an alarming rate, why is there no Beach Lifeguards patrolling the beaches in Guernsey? In just this year (2013) - 12 incidents have been recorded at Vazon Bay alone, many of them beach related.
