As a marine biologist who studies coral bleaching, I am touched that students of this age, many of whom may never have seen a reef with their own eyes, are still so motivated to speak on the behalf of such a fragile, important ecosystem! I hope you make it to your competition and you can bet I'll forward this!

Hi there, thanks for your concern. I am a mentor who works with the Rossview Middle Robotics Gold Team — the team who has created this petition and intends to save the world's coral reefs. While I understand your point and appreciate you putting it out there, you have to understand that such a law or even a bill would bring attention to the state of the coral reefs and — for that matter — the state of the environment right now. If you want more information on the team's intentions and research, I encourage you to reply to this message and I will get you in touch with our team. Oh, and thanks for taking the time to sign the petition.

First, who are "We?" And how are "we" going to enforce any of this? I absolutely agree with saving the coral, and ALL the natural world. But I would like to know more about who is behind this "movement" and how you are going to catch offenders, much less enforce a penalty?
