To: All Bergen County Legislators: We the taxpayers and citizens of Bergen County, believe that now is a time for UNITY in the effort to accomplish our common goal, reducing property taxes. We want an education funding formula that provides a fair share of whatever aide is made available, per pupil, regardless of zip code. We need to bring real dollars to every district. We call on all of our legislators, both Republican and Democrat, to work together in bi-partisan UNITY to the good of all of Bergen County. Bergen County sends by far the most tax dollars to Trenton. It\'s time we got some back!

Recognizing the continued problems with school funding in New Jersey, including the over reliance on property taxes to fund education, Board Members and Administrators from three Bergen County school districts came together to form a non-partisan grassroots group to shed light on the problem and to suggest solutions. The founding school districts, Demarest, Ramsey, and Ridgewood, named this group
