BCS Families want answers

If we are a family then there needs to be a healing process. That certainly includes directly confronting uncomfortable issues such as this. Someone named " s 73 " speculates it is an HR issue. I put zero credence to any post that remains unnamed, has no value to any thought or words without a signature. This is a very bizarre and unusual direction, assuming most of ya'll such as our family thought the world of Keith. If the board wants to declare an HR issue in a public setting that would be the start of healing. But doubt will remain until a responsible board takes the initiative to set a date and put this to rest. For board members who are reading this petition YOU PERSONALLY know that this has been handled very unorthodox. Have the courage to confront this in a public setting and if you cannot discuss by advice of counsel, at least then and only then will we assume you have taken an appropriate action.

Russell and I both are shocked, we received no letter and just now found out about this after questioning our kids! We have both found Mr. Currivean an exemplar of Christian guidance and love and are quite distressed by this. We would appreciate a thorough explanation to the entire BCS family. And BTW, it is a business too - would any board of a company let go of an apparently successful CEO without telling the stockholders why.

I think this is a great idea!

I am concerned about what has caused us to lose someone we dearly trusted the life of our daughter with and whether there are issues that could negatively affect our shepherding of her into the girl she is becoming.

I believe that we deserve a bit more than Mr. Jordan's letter. So I ask each parent to join this movement to see the direction of the board and Mr. Currivean.

Please consider that with HR issues, it would not be legal for an employer to discuss their dealings with an employee. I may not like the change. I may even be mad or hurt about the change, but I have to trust the Lord and I must trust His leading thru the board. I love Keith but I don't think a demand like this is the best way to honor him.

Our family simply wants to know the honest truth. Proverbs 12:17 (KJV) says, "He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

The Honnas family would like to know why as well. We are very upset and discouraged about this decision.

The manner in which this matter has been handled is unacceptable.

The families of BCS attendees need and deserve more information about the abrupt change in our leadership.

We would like to know what prompted such an abrupt change in leadership.

since we are a "family of families" - a " family meeting" in this case seems reasonable.

We have always felt that our family was part of a much larger family at BCS, so it concerns us that such a drastic decision was made with no explanation. In fact, the letter that was sent raised far more questions than it answered. I have fully trusted our headmaster in the past, knowing that his children would be affected just as ours, and to this day I have found no fault with his methods. For there to be a difference of opinion strong enough to result in separation makes me wonder if we too would prefer to distance ourselves from the school.
