The president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, has taken his power to a new and fatal direction. Mugabe took power in 1980 and over the years has become increasingly violent.
Activists are being beaten and tortured.
Millions of Zimbabweans are dependent on food aid
programs.
Lack of fertilizer is predicted to worsen the food shortages
this year.
80% of the citizens are unemployed.
20% are infected with AIDS and the new infection rate is the
highest in Africa.
Tens of thousands are reported to have been forcefully
evicted from their homes which are then burned. This is
called Operation Murambatsvina
I really thought this might pass by unnoticed so seeing this kind of movement is honestly overwhelming. It is clear that you all care deeply about the people suffering in Zimbabwe and this momentum belongs entirely to your compassion. Thank you for proving me wrong about how much we could achieve.

Heartbreaking to read about what is happening to these families. They deserve to live in their own homes without fear.
