Great news that Wetherspoons have applied to have a premises in town. At last a place to takes good lady where I know behaviour and the language will be strictly monitored, food good too.

Hot dog, chips and a pint of Strongbow please. Such good value for money! Maesteg has nowhere decent for a meal out since the closure of the Ranch and then Symphonies.

Any business should be supported if it will increase regeneration in the community, as weatherspoons are a chain it more likely to be successful, which will mean long term employment for a number of individuals!

This would bring a positive change to Maesteg town with lots of job opportunities. At the moment it's a ghost town with mostly charity shops and takeaways/cafés.

maesteg needs this, it's depressing driving through and seeing empty run down shops..value for money food and drink for all the family, and jobs...
