To All Parties Concerned

We, the included British Columbia Sheriff Service (BCSS) members, hereby decree that the BCGEU has no authority to enter into bargaining or any contract negotiations on our behalf. We the Sheriff membership of component 1 have lost confidence in the BCGEU's ability to fairly represent our interests. As such, we hereby call on the BCGEU to cease all attempts to represent the interests of our members until such time as we have resolved the issue of our representation. Until such time, we expect our union dues to be held in trust for the benefit of our members during any potential job action that may occur between now and contract renewal utilizing alternate representation.

Any attempts to represent our interests henceforth will be met with ardent and vocal opposition from our members.
