My brother made me do this....lol
I watched every game that year, after getting pounded every Sat morning playing for PC. Watching you guys destroy our varsity team that year was oh, so much fun! Our "star" running back told everybody the preceding week, that my brother played for BC. All of a sudden, as a freshman, I'm playing on the varsity practice squad. That went on to become a very painful week. I finally said something to my brother. The beating "star" took on that Sat against you guys was phenomenal. Watching him suffer and walk gingerly the next week was even better. I even got a kick out of the nicknames you had for each other.
This is definitely a no brainer. Good luck!!

Having worked 25 years as an editor in The Record Sports Dept., I am familiar with the tradition of excellence when it comes to high school football in Bergen County. Cleary, the 1982 Crusaders team is one of the best in Bergen – both the school and the county. It is only fitting then, that the ’82 BC team be enshrined in the school’s Hall of Fame as the 40th anniversary of that undefeated season approaches.

This team was the first to crack the USA Today top 10 High School Football Teams in the Nation! Never lost a game; Freshman team, Sophomore and JV team and Varsity team. Clear Dominance! I’ve been to every BC football game and no team compares!

BC football teams have a tremendous tradition of great players, coaches and supporters. This class, my class, was 33-0(F 9-0, S 8-0, JV 7-0, V 11-0). In the 11 games my senior year i only remember playing more than a minute or two into the 4th quarter once. We scored points but never ran it up in the 4th. Was at Paramus when almost all games that Saturday were rescheduled due to torrential rain. Paramus had a plodding, big back offense. Don’t fault them using the sloppy field, and i mean sloppy, to there advantage. Would’ve been one of the biggest upsets in Bergen County history. Did not happen. We avoided no one! In the preseason coach Karcich took us down to play the #1 team preseason Brick and top ten Clifton, dominated both. Deus Vult.

Even with the incredible history and tradition of the Bergen Catholic athletic programs you would be hard put to find another BC team that utterly dominated in every category like the 1982 team.
