Amidst BBC cuts are plans to review it's coverage of Formula One. The BBCs coverage is highly regarded worldwide, and as such its commentary is used by a great many English speaking contries. Coverage before F1's return to the BBC was frustratingly poor and advert breaks often resulted in missing race action. Since it's return to the corporation, viewing figures are at a 10 year high and their coverage of the 2010 Singapore Grand Prix was awarded a Bafta this year. Dispite this success the BBC Formula One coverage is at risk of bring axed as part of company wide cuts. Whilst we understand the need for BBC to spend licence payers money wisely, we would also like to see It continue to lead the world in it's coverage of this global sporting event. Therefore we would encourage as many people as possible to sign this petition and post a link via your social media sites.
