I am launching this petition because I am shocked and sickened by the BBC's choice of a new Doctor Who.

Surprise, surprise, they have gone for a CIS-gendered white elite privileged woman to play the role of the new Doctor, and as a gender non-binary black disabled lesbian I feel that this is yet another slap in the face.

There are already too many people like Jodie Whittaker on TV and they are over-represented. A disabled, black or lesbian Doctor would have at least been more of a positive step forward for people like myself, and I urge the BBC to reconsider their choice NOW!

I feel that people like myself have been marginalised, ridiculed and ignored too long and we must protest to have our voices heard!
