Brilliant show - had potential to grow into a much bigger show but just as characters were growing it's axed. Eve Myles and Dean Lennox Kelly ere brilliant - BBC has to let shows grow like Sky channels etc Stella started slow but has great following.

The show is cutting edge real life, with
outstanding drama, humor and pathos.
The writing is excellent.
Eve Miles should get an Emmy for her role as Frankie.

Well, finally American's were getting truly interested in another kind of Telly.
We that care about good writing and acting are sick of our American "blood and guts" and "fluffy comedies" and BBC was giving them to us and then Wham! No more "Frankie" Jesus, we like "Frankie" and now it's gone. Thanks a lot, BBC! Shows what you know about telly and what sells!

We just got this here in the US on PBS. We love it! Really? Six episodes? Eve is so fun as Frankie and the stories are so engaging. The BBC must bring it back for season 2.
