This should not be a question. Keeping baylink means keeping a safe way of education for at-risk families. The health of students and their families should always come first. For students who have courses that cannot be taken through Bay Virtual or homeschool, getting rid of baylink would be getting rid of all of the hard work they have been putting in through their curriculums. IB students who just want to stay safe would either have to take the risk of having their loved ones become sick (or even themselves), or drop out of the program they have put so much work towards. To destroy a program helping hundreds, if not thousands, or students just because ratings of a select few may be lowering is selfish and unacceptable.

This is just horrible. Schools should not be open to students who have families that are at a high risk of infection. Even with the practice of social distance and wearing a mask, students still can infect others. So yes, schools are across the world should be closed unless the country has kept down the cases low and there aren't anymore local cases

Baylink needs to stay so my senior doesn’t have the added stress of going back in the middle of the year.

Keeping baylink until the end of the school year is needed. Seniors this year have had the last 3 years completely rearranged due to the hurricane and now covid. Some have stayed at home to help better focus on classes then having to have added stress about the kid next to them, the teacher, or someone else coming in close contact with them having covid. Seniors can not simply switch to virtual. They would not graduate from their schools. Seniors can’t simply switch to homeschool. Again they won’t get their diplomas from their school. Though it is only a small percentage of kids staying at home adding those kids back to the classroom would not only be added stress on them but the teachers also. While this is being done because “Its to stressful for the teachers” what about the students? What about students parents? Isn’t this about the kids or was I mistaken? Or is this truly about the lack of money the district is getting for kids not being in the actual seats?
If this is passed and baylink is canceled many of the seniors who have stayed at home in fear for themselves and family members now has the added stress of going back in the middle of the year in hopes to stay healthy and graduate. This is their last year for it to be ruined by covid and now the district.
