So you know another Coach Of The Year that has the level of experience of coaching that both Paul & Sue have? You do know there are 2 teams in each age group from the age of U/12 boys & girls to U/18 boys & girls in Western Junior League for Goldminers so Paul & Sue give every child in the area a chance & opportunity to play basketball, while Western Reds only have 1 team per age group from the age of U/14 boys & girls to U/18 boys & girls in the Country Premier League, which is offered to elite athletes within the Western Area, I see their priority for WJL not CPL, but I think you’re missing the point of this petition which is why as a paying member, that pays 3 registrations every year why can’t we have our vote or say on how or who contracts the stadium?

So who put this ANONYMOUS petition together anyway? Seems interesting that the person responsible needs to remain nameless. Also interesting to note that some comments are actually from people outside of the area who came to Bathurst and whose children took spots from our local children. Yes. Nepotism is RIFE

This goes against the whole title of the committee and what the stadium is all about.... Bathurst indoor sports means more then basketball..... think about it.

I think people need to not lose sight as to what this is really about. Paul Masters may be passionate about basketball etc etc but his company (family business) is paid by the association to manage the Bathurst Stadium. This is not about basketball or how voluntary position as coaching coordinator this is about his paid contract. The stadium is not run well. It is very rarely open during the day, it is hard to get access, the competitions are run very poorly. How hard is it to produce a draw that lasts for a whole competition, not just the night before. This is where there real issue are and when he then refuses to work with the committee it is never going to work. Any contractor would not have their contract renewed under these circumsances.

This is fundamentally and ethically wrong. I have represented basketball at a national level as a player and a coach and my biggest challenge has been a parent to kids who play basketball. Nepotism is rife in the our sport at the junior level And we need to get the right people in the right position. I have had to deal with many people from many different levels of administration throughout BNSW and the one person I feel I could trust the most is Paul Masters. Happy to discuss this further 0407 606 661

Paul Masters dedication, committment and loyalty to Bathurst Basketball has been an integral part its growth and success. Without a person of such integrity you lose the core of a club and as a result its heart.
