Bathrooms At Harbor Highlands Park Will Attract Crime & Homeless Encampments

Please sign our Harbor Highlands community Homeowner & Resident petition to stop LA City Council from constructing a Bathroom at the park along Gatun Street. This bathroom construction will begin in two months unless our community can stand up and stop this. Since this park is poorly lit at night, not patrolled and never locked, bathrooms will attract homeless encampments, drug users, drug dealers, prostitution, graffiti, and gang activity. Our Harbor Highlands gated community pool bathroom has already been broken into on several occassions, tagged with graffiti, locks broken, homeless spending the night, etc...and this has happened behind our two locked gates. Imagine what will happen at this park, with no lights and no locked gates. The crime will drop our property values and this park will become an unsafe place for our children. PLEASE SIGN AND JOIN US AT THE MEETING ON MONDAY, OCT 9, 5:30P -- HARBOR AREA POLICE STATION COMMUNITY ROOM 217 JOHN S GIBSON BLVD SAN PEDRO --so that we can present this Petition to Council.
