According to the letter that we received open enrollment would also be stopped. I support that, Who is going to the meeting on Tuesday?

The rezoning would be detrimental to the Lake Camelot neighborhood. The decrease in home valuation would be extreme as we are already competing with the 4 new developments! People move to Lake Camelot for Basswood. Please do not decrease the value of my home any further.

More research should be done and all options presented to the public before final decision is made. A couple if weeks between presenting issue to the public and final voting is not acceptable.

Open enrollment should never be considered in a school that doesn't have enough space for residents. Boundary adjustments should only be considered after extensive research into all possible alternatives with sound backing for the proposal. In this case, it has not been done and there seems to be a rush to make a change before people are aware who will be most affected.

Agree, new students should not take precedence over current students and their siblings.

Please listen to the families. Not doing so will cause disruption in the school district.

This is not an educated solution to the problem. Engage all the stakeholders involved and work towards a resolution.

Open enrollees should never take precedence over residents. This is wrong.

In last weeks meeting with the board, it was mentioned that Basswood students have been re-zoned in the past (I remember that change as we lived in the school district since 2003). It's important to remember, those students were moving from Basswood to Rush Creek...one top performing and ranked school to another. A move to Oakview from Basswood is not comparable!
