As a 25 year Plymouth resident who has lived in the area served by Basswood Elementary School, I oppose any changes to the current zoning boundary lines.

My son is autistic and he has just started to mainstream from Northland Education Center and moving him to another school is not going to be affected towards his progression back into the regular school is not going to be beneficial to him. I also do not wish to have my son at Oak View with lower scores. It is bad enough that he was first sent to Crestview Elementary when he started school for his special needs. I wish to have my son go to a school that has an autistic program that allows my child to have the opportunity to interact with others within the school. Totally oppose this change.

Residents should get priority at their home school, open enrollment should be closed

what a rude awakening to have to move schools simply because of rezoning or to new home buyers in the area that bought because of the school they were planning on sending their children.

I oppose this change. Please discontinue open enrollment if overcrowding is an issue before reassigning boundaries.

Please review/revise the open enrollment policy. I believe that current residents should be given priority over open enrollment students to remain in their home school.

Review all options and fairness of open enrollment before casting votes. Only fair.

If overcrowding is a problem then the open enrollment policy needs to be reexamined. Students from within the boundaries of the school should receive priority over students that are open enrolled.

Revise the open enrollment policy and keep kids in their neighborhood schools.

Keep the current enrollment for the 2014-2015 year, even if over crowded. Then in 2015-2016 make Basswood K-5.

If Basswood is already overcrowded, it makes sense to keep the current enrollment for the 2014-2015 year. When the k-5 switch happens in 2015-2016, the problem of overcrowding is solved. I'm certain that parents would much rather deal with one more year of overcrowding rather than shipping the kids off to a bottom-rated school.

How does this proposal make sense?? Open enrollment kids should not have priority over kids closest to the schools!
