I think it's important to go after something if you want it bad enough and in my mind the only way to show how awesome BassLights was and how much it meant to the fans is to rely on the strength in numbers.

Of course this isn't gueanteed to work or even be seen by either artist, I feel as if it's worth a shot- what could possibly be wrong with trying?

This petition isn't as much of a petition as it is a friendly request. I should also mention that I believe that the artists involved (Derek Smith aka Pretty Lights, and Lorin Ashton ala Bassnectar) know that this request comes from the heart and love for their music, regardless of how different their styles may be, which is why combining to the two made for such a unique and spectacular event.

I think I speak for everyone who attended those special weekends in Hampton, or even those who wanted to attend and weren't able to that this event was one of the highlights of the year (for me personally, THE highlight of the year) when it came to shows by either artists; Pretty Lights on the rocks, Bassnectar's 360 extravaganza, Telluride or BassCenter, sets in the forest, or episodic festivals are all special but the void of this discontinued favorite, in my mind, is still left unfilled and there is only one way to satisfy that empty place in our hearts and on our calendars: a comeback.

So please take a moment to sign this 'petition' and let's see if we can get the artists respond.
