I am supporting Basis in their efforts to establish the new campus in my neighborhood. Basis is highly regarded for their ability to prepare students for their transition to universities and beyond. Their campus will only increase property value for my neighborhood. I am confident that Basis's proposal will deliver on their projections on traffic impact. Even if they fall short, I am ok with the trade off as their presence will still be a net positive.

As a parent, I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to send my children to a school that offers the best education in the state of Arizona. It would be very disappointing for my kids -- and kids from the surrounding community -- to lose that opportunity because a misguided opposition group somehow forced BASIS away from the city of Scottsdale.

Tonight, at a Q&A meeting with the neighbors organized by BASIS Ed and attended by many neighbors and BASIS Scottsdale Parents, despite the fact BASIS Ed went over and above what was required, what the City of Scottsdale traffic engineers asked for and what the neighbors' own traffic engineer asked for, homeowners living around the area of 128th & Shea practically accused BASIS parents were accused of being irresponsible. It is evident to me that the neighbors have no concerns about the safety of our students.
The neighbors simply do not want the school traffic disturbing their properties or hiding their view of Scottsdale Mtn.
To me, these are not good enough reasons to not build BASIS Scottsdale at the intersection of 128th & Shea.
We support the project 100%!

Both my kids attend BASIS Scottsdale, and we live around 130th street and Shea. We fully support the new campus, and my kids love to attend one of the top schools in the nation.
