I really thought this might just float into the void unnoticed but seeing all this energy behind the Greenpoint spill makes me realize people actually care about what happened right under our noses. It feels surreal and honestly a little overwhelming to see the momentum building like this because I truly wasn't sure if anyone would pay attention to a forgotten disaster in Brooklyn.

I grew up near here and people still have no clue how bad it really was. About time we brought this up on campus.
Insane that this is the 2nd biggest spill ever and nobody talks about it. fix this.

Most people at school think Brooklyn is just brunch and overpriced coffee. They have no idea about the toxic waste sitting right under Greenpoint. We need to talk about this.
