The Bartow Cricket Club was started in January 2012 with a mission to facilitate a Cricket facility in Polk County and inspire young kids of all communities to enjoy this wonderful game. Polk County Parks and Recreation Board has kindly supported this mission and gave permission to build a cricket pitch (with concrete and turf grass on top) at Mary Holland Park, Bartow, FL. This was built in January 2012 with generous donations from local communities and businesses. This petition is to seek support for this mission from all cricket lovers so that we can retain this facility at its current location, provide a list of supporters of this mission for official records with the Polk County and prove to all concerned that this is a great opportunity for the current and upcoming generations of men and women from all communities in Polk County, FL.
