The 1/2 mile section of Meadowbrook Dr. inside Barry Park--from the Miles Ave. 800 Broad St. corner to the end of Westcott St.--is closed only on weekends during June-July-August by volunteers from SEUNA (like Harry Lewis, Rufino Meija Ramos (Ramos Painting & Renovations), Lazaro Ramos, (Ramos Landscaping), etc. al).

The 1/2 mile  could easily be closed every day until it snows, without any inconvenience to motorists.  This section is heavily enjoyed by many walkers, joggers, skaters, and bikers of all ages, from moms and kids with training wheels to retirees seeking a safe place for exercize.  Closing this 1/2 mile section of Meadowbrook would not create any traffic problems for motorists, and will help parents with children, and others, seeking a safe place to exercize.
