Dear Sir/Madam We would like you to join our petition. As you may be aware the family home at 63 Barrowby Road, Grantham is being converted into an emergency homeless hostel. When permission was granted in February 2010 the local council, SKDC, imposed a condition that the initial licence was temporary until August 2011. The purpose of this temporary licence was to ensure the hostel was operating within the requirements of the local environment and community as well as enabling organisations such as the Police, to monitor the hostel prior to extending the licence. The operator is now seeking to remove this condition through a planning appeal as they do not think it is fair. As residents in the community we opposed the initial application for the hostel because of multiple concerns which were ignored by the local council. We now want to let our voices be heard again to ensure this planning condition is not removed on appeal and is actively enforced to ensure the hostel operates within the rules and promises it has outlined in its initial application. Please support us. People power will work. email us to get involved at barrowbyroadresidents@gmail.com or simply sign the online petition to show your support. Many thanks Barrowby Road Residents Association.
