I am a Dallas resident and support the proposal to change I-35 fromR. L. Thornton to Barack Obama Freeway.

This petition is just as racist as RL Tornton was! I agree it should be renamed, but not for anything stated in this petition! Why not rename the freeways for the actual FOUNDER of Dallas, John Neely Bryan? That is a WAY better idea then _ANY_ president would be!

I am in communication with the Sons of Confederate Army, As you know they are totally against the Removal of the Robert E. Lee statue, General was not a racist, he was against the civil war. He was forced to go to the South, because Lincoln wanted Lee to lead an army, and attack Virginia, Lee's home state. There are many other aspects of Lee's positive history that should justify leaving his statue alone. Why not put a plaque on the plaque, explaining Lee's complete history, good and bad?
