Boys have always been violent. But in the old days it was channelled through sport, games and the military. It operated within a legal framework and was about the protection of family and home. Grand Theft Auto teaches boys to break the law and redirect their violence towards the socially destructive, the selfish and the sociopathic and to treat women as prostitutes to be used, abused and killed. When the latest version was released last year, the MP Keith Vaz said: 'It's highly likely that younger children are going to get access to this game. A young person's mind is impressionable and the interactive violence is going to have an impact on them.' We really have no idea of the long-term effects of this game. On New Year's Day, at 12 noon, we are holding a GTA Mass Destruction Day. All over Britain, Women of Mass Destruction will join us in destroying and dumping these discs. It will be supported by members of Take a Break's two social networks, chums4mums and Mums' Army. Petition: We the undersigned petition to either ban or censor video games which glamourise extremely criminal, socially damaging and sociopathic behaviour and treat women as prostitutes to be used, abused and killed.

I don't think they should just because it's not the game it's the person I'm a teenager in their senior year of high school and have been playing video games like Gta 5 for a couple of years now and I have NEVER thought about doing anything like killing someone ever and a lot of other people who play games like gta are the same i mean how many of you have actually played the game and right after thought about killing somebody or anything like that?

These games are sickening and contribute to the growing violence amongst children and teens.

Please band all shooting video games! Too many gun-shooting in schools, video games make it seem like it’s okay to shoot in many developing brains.

GTA needs to be BANNED!!! Glorifies a ghetto thug life with drugs, sex, graphic killing, acts of sexuality, profanity, theft, it’s disgusting… highlights the very part of society that’s the issue in America.

Gta 5 is a horrible, disgusting game. It should be a crime that children are allowed to play these games. Where are the parents in society today?!!

Yeah, I really don't have anything to say, I just wanted to sign this petition, because I think it's necessary to ban violent video games, especially in times of political upheaval and societal turmoil.

I am a 74 year old woman. I have 2 neighbors, 11 and 7 who I am teaching to survive in the woods, LOL...they had NEVER been in them. I am very distressed to learn that, the oldest is totally enamored with Killing. I have found that all his "games" are killing ones. And that is really taking over his little life. Both boys are very intelligent, but the oldest's obsession with killing, hitting destroying is pretty scary. I had NO IDEA there were so many games that young children have access to that involve torture, killing....I mean it is ridiculous! NO WONDER there are so many kids that are involved in real life mass murders. WHY are we allowing these games?
