This petition is for those who are against having a Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)introduced in British Columbia in July of 2010. The Liberal government who were just re-elected had promised that this type of money grabbing would not happen. This has been introduced to us via the media as a done deal. I strongly believe as British Columbians who work and pay taxes should have a say with regards to the HST. The 2010 Olympics have already stretched our budgets beyond what we as average workers can afford. This tax will slowly creep up and will become a tax on EVERYTHING we purchase in the future.
