I dismounted my pony in the narrow Wiltshire lane to see what was wrong with the rabbit, I knew it was seriously ill. I battered it to death with a big stone and went back to my pony, riding away in tears. It was 1975, I was 12. It's hideously cruel and should be stopped.

My rabbit is currently suffering from this, it took a little 4 days for her to go from bright and happy to very ill, depressed and blind.. this needs to stop, it's an horrendous virus and isn't fair on any rabbit that has to go through this, my poor Missy is being put to sleep as of tomorrow morning as I need to free her from the discomfort and pain she's currently going through.
