We the British people believe that the ruling by the UK high court on the fairness of bank charges to be completely unfair and believe them to be still out of proportion to the cost of carrying out the action. While we respect the OFT's decision to not pursue this further a grave injustice has been committed that requires correcting. Bank charges are now only looked at if they are applied in error and according to a recent letter by the financial ombudsmen service not even cases of financial hardship are considered. A precedent has already been set in the fact that credit card charges have been looked at and reduced accordingly. We the British people require a debate in Parliament to determine the fairness and proportion of bank charges and in addition provision for the refund of all charges unfairly applied particularly in cases of financial hardship. Thank you for your support.
