This petition is in support of the removal of a racist book written in 1894 entitled, "Ten Little Niggers." While Ebay ensures that they place a disclaimer to their site stating "DISCLAIMER!! WE DO NOT AGREE WITH THE WORDS OR THE SENTIMENTS USED IN THIS EARLY PIECE OF BLACK AMERICANA! THIS SALE IS FOR HISTORICAL PRESERVATION ONLY," they [like any other organization or institution] should be held highly responsible for the reinforcement and support of racist, oppressive, and offensive material. It is our responsibility to challenge "the powers that be" and hold them ACCOUNTABLE for the incessant proliferation of social and idealogical poisons in our global society!
