We, the undersigned, believe that the New Zealand government should take a stand to ban the use of grain and corn based feeds for cattle. We believe this measure should be taken for the following reasons: - Grass fed beef is healthier for us to eat. It contains higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids and lower Omega 6 fats than corn/grain fed beef. The increased Omega 6 fat intake in our modern diet has been a major cause for the increased incidence of heart disease and diabetes and is a major causative factor in the development of cancer. - Grass is the natural food of cattle. When fed grain and corn based feeds cattle are more prone to digestive problems. - Grass fed beef offers us a specific economic advantage. Grass fed beef is now becoming more and more sought after both domestically and in international markets as a healthier alternative to grain and corn fed beef.

Cows were made to eat grass not corn. Why are we messing with nature just to fatten them up quicker? Stop the grain now.

Finally someone addressing this. Grass fed is simply better quality and healthier for everyone. Keep our NZ meat natural and quit the grain feed nonsense.
