This is a great Idea and there is a need for people being allowed self sustainability especially in this economy. Hope this is accepted and successful! I see no reason why it shouldn't be in this land of freedom and opportunity.
My husband and I will be moving to Bangor in two weeks from Atlanta (a city that allows backyard chickens). We are house hunting but will probably not be buying in Bangor unless this is supported.
I hope this passes soon. We have plenty of room in our backyard and it seems silly that we cant have a few chickens for eggs.
My kids really want to learn where their food comes from and this would be such a cool lesson for them. Please keep me updated on the email list!
FRESH EGGS! Seriously why is this even an issue. Let people have a few birds in their own yard.
