Please , Please Please, get these moster machines banned. My name is max , age 40 and in the last year have blown nearly 30,000 k on these machines and it's not the 1st time. I started playing them about 5 years ago. I managed to get in a state with them several times.... But this time has gone too far, as for the 1st time in my life I managed to save enough money for a deposite on a property, and and can weapnly say it's all gone back in the machines.... The accessibility of the machines is to easy - you walk by and think I'll be able to turn £10.00 into £200 , and sometimes you do but it's extremely rare! By which time you are losing money and then trying too win it back in your vain attempts! They are deadlly ! They are also not random - as when you try and win, chase and recover your money, well, the machine just keeps taking it! Everytime. They are not random! Of coarse a lot of punters are more vulnerable than others.... But, I don't care what evidence they come up with , I know they are addictive! What's more , it's impossible to win any money back, maybe 5 percent at the most! If your lucky.... At one stage I was aware that I was becoming a problem gambler so I took the necessary action and attended gamcare sessions that did prove help me for about a year, then I started craving and missing it! I will also say that what becomes a problem is that also it's very hard to accept that you can't win any of your money back at all! -this is hard too accept.... So you desparetly keep then chasing! It's a vicious cycle! These things have destroyed me and I have now become angry and abusive which I was not like before. Can you please do something about this menace.... I also know about 20 people whom of some people I work with have got the same problem.... Can you also update me and keep me posted as to what is going to happen regarding this! These machines are a curse. They are ruining peoples lifes and the shops do not care as it lies the pockets of the shareholders and Government. As far as I am concerned the Government will not ban them because they are pocketing money themselves. Be it from back handers to lobby against the ban. It is not as if the bookies can not afford to do this. If the government wanted to ban them they could. This is worse than crack cocaine, in fact it is the worst evil of them all and Mr Cameron has turned his back on the poor who are playing these machines in the false hope of fortune. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BAN THESE MACHINES.

These machines are a curse and need to be banned completely in the UK. I'm not talking about reducing the number of machines per bookie but getting rid of every single one of them. I work in a bookies and these machines are a curse. Bookies will do anything to get people playing. They get peoples mobile numbers by getting them to enter competitions etc and continually send them messages saying they have freecredit just to get them in the shop knowing they will spend more

They are a danger to the vulnerable and society at large and it shouldn't take a petition to make people in positions of authority recognise this. I am one of the fortunate ones not financially impacted by losses incurred but I am sure there are many, many that are. They are therefore life-wreckers and the Govt. has a social responsibility to do the right thing.

These machines were put in at higher payout rates with a higher % of large wins to get people addicted free competitions now they have lowered %rate payout to the advertised level and dropped the amlunt of large wins so your chances of acually winning are next to none the same tactics a heroin pusher would use give people a go for nothing give them a taste of winning get them addicted then rob them totally immoral

They are without doubt doubt fixed. Hence the wording "fixed odd terminals" If i lost fairly then fair enough but these machines are totally fixed for people who stake high so they should reduce the stake size but then again even if they did that they would make it harder to win so best solution is to ban them completely!! But the Goverment wont do that is its a revenue for them.

I agree it has been allowed to get this bad I personally think there should be like a card swipe system and you should have to go through a series of questions about your gambling history and when its deemed safe should you be allowed to go on these ive heard of many stories people putting in 5000 pounds in one go ive seen people shaking these fobts when theve lost all there money ive never seen staff intervene if they are regulars and they've lost a lot of money they should ban new bookmakers from opening up

Ban these evil machines disguised as a once in a while bit of fun! I have an addiction to them and I’ve never ever once seen a member of staff express any concern over me or any one else much worse than myself. Apparently it’s “responsible gambling week” this week with all the bookmakers having flyers in their windows to welcome people to talk about their addiction. I saw a guy loose over a grand today, he was visibly distressed but none of the staff made the slightest attempt to acknowledge his addiction. These gambling companies are just pure evil and they are a total scam.
