The main ingredient in the herbicide Roundup, glyphosate, has been determined by the World Health Organization to be a possible carcinogen. And just this week California's EPA decided to label Monsanto's Roundup as a cancer-causing chemical. The landscaping company hired by our HOA, Artistic Maintenance, frequently sprays our plants with Roundup, jeopardizing the health of humans, animals, and the environment.

Please add your name to this petition (if you live in Rancho Carrillo) so that we can democratically bring change to our community for the better. Our HOA needs to prohibit companies they hire from using this or any harmful herbicide or pesticide.

There are plenty of alternatives to Roundup: Pulling weeds, using a weed whacker, a mixture of vinegar and lemon juice in a spray bottle, or vinegar containing products like "BurnOut Weed Killer," herbicidal soaps like "Weed-Aside," or mulch are safer alternatives.
