- BT/Openreach want to install 34 new telegraph poles on the A593 between Broughton-in-Furness and Woodland. This area is within the Lake District National Park which has recently been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes stunning views across the Lakeland fells and towards the Duddon estuary.
Two years ago BT buried all the cables along this stretch and we are calling on them to bury the new cables too. Installing new telegraph poles and cables is a retrograde step that will damage the world-class landscapes. Please sign our petition to stop BT/Openreach from blighting our beautiful countryside.
