The Bodu Bala Sena ( a recently formed and racist Buddhist movement) has created racial tensions and hatred between the peace loving Buddhists in Sri Lanka and its minorities such as Muslims and Christians. For the past 300 years, Buddhists co-existed with its minorities and there has been no racial enmity between all the different religions in Sri Lanka. With the establishment of BBS, it has created an unnecessary rift between the Buddhists and non Buddhists.
