My parents have live in the area for almost 50 years and I have always loved lighting fireworks on the fourth.

I feel like there are certain special occasions that are meant to stand out in your life experience so that it all doesn't blend together - specific experiences that create excitement and anticipation, promote participation and community, and foster nostalgia. The fireworks around our neighborhood have been one of those. My kids reaction each year is a milestone that marks their growth. The sounds echoing around the sky is an indication that others are sharing the experience of celebration with us. I urge us not to lose that.

Fireworks are an American tradition. If people are unsafe, punish them- not an entire community. As for the noise, really, have you nothing better to do than complain? Get a life and let us enjoy ours.

I completely support allowing legal fireworks on the actual day of Fourth of July. If they are going to enforce the ban of fireworks on the 4th it should be taken seriously and people should be held accountable for all the fireworks they light off after football games and things outside of the Fourth of July throughout the year. I am not OK with fireworks any other day than the Fourth of July I do want those to stop and for the law to be enforced. Celebrating our nation's birthday is the one exception when it should be OK.

I fully support safe fireworks being legal for a specific time period on the 4th of July. It makes sense to put some boundaries on when they can be enjoyed, rather than "criminalizing" it for everyone. Our police have much more important things to monitor on this holiday than families enjoying fountains, sparklers, and spinners.

I am for return of fireworks in Brier on July 4. Also should consider reasonable rulers for issues of life safety, property damage, and excessive noise.

I wish I could sign this petition, but I am not a resident of Brier. But I do live very close to Brier and both of my children went to Brier Elementary from Kindergarten to 6th grade (my son is in 6th currently). We have many friends that live in Brier, and we participate in so many community activities there, that I almost feel like we live there! I really hope you succeed in reversing the fireworks ban. I think every town in America should allow legal fireworks on our country's birthday! Best of luck to you !

We've spent every 4th of July for the last 8 years at our friends house in Brier. Fireworks are a huge part of our 4th!
