I would disagree that it only affects one person. It affects all her friends and family as well. I would bet that there are others who have sensitivities and allergies to the perfumes as well and while not as severe they too should not have to worry about it

It is vital that this ban take effect, this is literally killing people. As a mother of a child with severe anaphylaxis to multiple, foods, drugs and chemicals I am well aware of the stress and strain this potentially lifethreatening situation puts on the entire family of a child with anaphylaxis and as someonw with severe anaphylaxis myself to many things I know how terrifying it is to take your life in your hands everyday just trying to do the things that everyone else takes for granted. Please support this ban and help make life safer for those who suffer from this problem.

From both the point of view of a soon to be paramedic and former CW student, someone who knows Katie and who had issues with all the perfumes and such when I was in high school. To support Katie my family have been removing all the "perfumes" in our home. Fabric softener can be replaced with white vinegar + dryer balls which I have bought.

People need to understand that she is slowly dieing already. The only way that she can het better is if you stop being stubborn and stop spraying that crap all of the school. She may be able to survive. Katie is the nicest person that you will EVER meet. Why would you want to take that away from the world? Why would you want a 17 year old girl to be ripped away from her friends and family and all of the experiences that she wants to enjoy? Why do you want to be a murderer? If you don't "care" about anyone but yourself, think of this. Spraying that perfume in the hallway is against the human right laws, you you could be charged. And, oh right, spraying it and killing her is, ATEMPTED MURDER. If that doesn't make you stop, you are soulless.

i may not go to this school anymore, i still know this wonderful girl. she does not deserve to have to be scared for her life. school should be a safe place for every student who goes there. not just a special few. so students here have some class and RESPECT and stop spraying in the halls its that simple.

The reason this is an issue is because of apathy. If you can't link the threat to a face or a name, why bother change? Because to some people, it is not a nameless face or faceless name that's being hurt by this lack of concern and adherence. No one should go to school worried if they'll die because someone disregards an allergy. It's a similar concept to peanut allergies. We've worked around those, why can't the school community work around those with anaphylaxis? Evidently, because no rule says they have to. It's sad that this is needed, but seeing as it is, I'm going to have to support this. This girl has to have the mindset of avoiding land mines going through the halls. Stop it. It isn't a huge thing to ask.

Nobody should have to give their life just so that you can wear your odor. The thought alone is so foolish i'm amazed this is an issue. Ive seen how selfish people are, ive heard what they say when nobody is listening. And i'm disgusted with our school.

Loads of artificial scent really doesn't define someone's attractiveness. You can live without doucing yourself in "axe" or some heavy perfume, if it means that we can keep ALL members of student body safe at our school.

Even though the scent sprays and other things only affect one person, that doesn't mean that we should ignore the fact that they could possibly die from people wanting to smell nice at school
