Ban them every where even on private ground. Get back to the old ways of hunting where you can actually like BIG groups. Work ducks with a call not a stupid ROBO!

I agree I've been hunting down there for a few years now an I didn't even take a sad with me. We hunted with another group an the first day we did well with no send an second day we had 5 swd's an we didn't do have as well. Same weather an wind both days. I can definitely see that there is an issue.

Get rid of swds please. Need more woodman ship out hunting other than the ability to flip a switch

While guns by themselves do not kill people I do not see where that can be related to the conditioning of an animal. We as hunters have used a mechanical tool which is not within the guidelines of "fair chase" to train the ducks to not use the timber as they have in the past. I had a biologist tell me 10 years ago that the spinning wing decoy would be the end of hunting ducks the way we used to in timber. He told me that we would, over 5+ years, condition ducks to NOT decoy in the timber. The main tool for this conditioning would be the spinning wing decoys for several reason. The first would be purely scientific in that the older a duck gets the earlier he or she begins pair bonding. Each year we as hunters kill off the younger birds because they are so susceptible to the SWD. As the overall age of the mallard population increases ever so slightly we are now seeing more of that population begin pair bonding earlier and earlier. For those who know ducks and their habits, you know what this means.
Secondly, with the use of the SWD we have taken away ANY need for woodsmanship or hunting skills. Pre SWD you had better be a good woodsman and hunter if you wanted to pull the trigger. Now we have made it where anyone can flip 5-6 switches and pull the trigger. Now, they are not finishing the ducks, simply getting them to swoop in close enough to break down a few. Which in turn educates a lot of ducks. When a duck flies over X number of acres of timber and sees nothing but SWD after SWD in every opening and each time he and his friends swoop down close a few get killed it does not take long for them to learn to STAY AWAY. Any animal can be conditioned.

Saying Robos educate ducks and banning them for it is like saying guns kill people and we should ban those to. Just like the gun a robo plays a part in getting a duck killed (or missed) but it does actually do anything itself. Its the people that tree top ducks because they cant fisish a group that educates them. I hunt over them and do it proudly. I also tend totry not to shoot a duck unless its in the hole. Heres an idea for ya. When the ducks get mojo shy, leave them at home! And just like magic the ducks start to work again.

I'd like to see them banned statewide, not just on public ground. For the small amount of time they were previously banned, the mallard hunting was so much better.

this is something that is long over due, should have never been brought back. I think this get let real duck hunters hunt ducks correctly!!!

Robo ducks are stupid. Have ruined duck hunting. I haven't bought my stamps or hunted a single time this year because of overcrowding, which is the end result of stupid people using a stupid crutch to hunt ducks. The robo has ruined "duck hunting" and the heritage that once accompanied the sport. As much as I would like to see something done, I highly doubt our corrupt, greedy, senseless and out of touch AGFC has the testicular fortitude to do something right for the resident sportsmen and women of the state.

I have been hunting Ark green timber for the past 25 years. The Robo is gradually killing the timber hunting. If it were eliminated on the WMA's you would see two results in several years. The ducks would go back to using the timber as they have prior to the Robo and the number of hunters would drop. I have been writing the AGAF for a number of years trying to point out these concerns but they do not listen.
