Every Spring to Summer. Hundreds if not thousands of people get together to get in their cars and chase Tornadoes. Some do it for research, others do it for fun and sport. By signing this, you agree that you believe that Storm Chasing should be banned to the public and reserved for actual research only. It is clear now that storm chasing has become a sport. there is competition now and vehicles that are being constructed to withstand the forces of Mother Nature. A show called Storm Chasers was first to take the spotlight in commercializing this so called hobby. It taught people how to storm chase and got people excited to do so. Now, there is nothing wrong with being enthused on chasing Storms. But you must understand that a storm isn't made to entertain. Mother nature makes it to evolve the planet and form a path of destruction. A tornado is destructive and to add to that would be foolish. This goes out to closing down Tornado Chase tours as well because they also exploit mother nature. With too many people on the roads during these dangerous situations, it is clear that something must be done to control the traffic during a storm. I believe once a Tornado is declared, it should be known as a mark to stay away from it where law officials understand that anyone not authorized to be near these things for sport and fun should be cited. There is a difference between doing this for Research, or for money and sport. Let your voice be heard and let us start the process to 1 Million signatures. Do it for your family, friends, and anyone you know. Already storm chasers are losing their lives with this dangerous act and its up to you now to help prevent another tragedy.
