Federal Way has become an area where I do not want to raise my family. My wife already does not feel safe while doing simple things such as going to the grocery stores by our house. It has come to the point that I will never allow my children to even ride their bikes outside of our tiny street due to the rampant drug use and overall crime that has taken over the area

STOP giving the homeless items that prevents them from a desire to move. STOP giving them needles, food, money, free drug use. All this is a Band-Aid! There are places available for them to get help, but many don’t want to have to follow the rules. I remember when you didn’t follow rules, you were arrested and jailed. Maybe if they are treated like the criminals they are (yeah, yeah, yeah there are mentally ill people out there and there is also HELP for them which they choose NOT to accept. Not all crimes are committed by the homeless but they are a huge part of the crimes in Federal Way) they will seek other locations OR…here’s a novel idea…become part of a thriving society. If you want to live a Robinson Crusoe lifestyle then go somewhere where you are not stealing and endangering the lives of us who work hard for what we have acquired!

Stop the plan to purchase the Extended Stay Hotel because it will just be a flop house for transients & a legal place to buy & use drugs.

This is a huge problem. The taxpaying citizens don't even feel safe driving or walking through our streets anymore.

Tax paying citizens are tired of having to step around or completely quit going to the public places in FW we once went to because we are trying to avoid these "campers". We've seen the garbage they leave and the damage they do. It does nothing to benefit FW. It just makes the city an intolerable place to live.

Please start caring as much about the hard-working law-abiding citizens of Federal Way as you do about the people who contribute nothing of value to our city and who continue to turn our once beautiful home into a cesspool.

I would not be against this if they actually punished those who committed the crime locally. We had about 10-15 vehicles in my apartment complex get their windows busted out by homeless people over a course of 6 months last year. We stopped seeing this crime when they broke up the huge encampment around 304 and pac highway. Ive been homeless before when I was in my late teens, but I wanted to improve my life and not act like its an acceptable solution for the long term. While were at ban pan handling. Remove their ability to beg for cash and they'll move to another city. Throw them in jail for panhanding if they do not want to stop. Add to it, ticket those who give them money.
