Punahou should ban nonessential plastics from the school. Instead, students should be challenged to use their own supplies, or think of another sustainable alternative. At the cafeteria, the utensils take 3-6 months to decompose. By banning the current utensils and using the the K-5's metal ones we can save space in landfills. Although the change is little, we must take them one step at a time.
