STOP any fracking taking place in Scotland. WHY risk our safety? The way FORWARD is to use naturally occurring energy sources, eg waves, solar, wind, etc as power, which is NOT derived from fossil or nuclear fuel. Why go BACKWARDS by continuing to explore the use of fracking? Spend the exploration money on RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Fracking is simply insane. Why risk damage to our water resources and whole environment? Fracking is expensive, dangerous and will always be resisted so just do not allow it to happen.

I have been following the fracking debate for a while now and it is clear to me that fracking is not only a dangerous activity but it also doesn’t make any economic sense either.
There are already many reports of incidents and ill health related to fracking in areas of America and Australia where the population is sparse – the impact would be so much worse in a densely populated area such as the central belt of Scotland.
West Lothian in particular which has an extensive mining past and this would complicate matters even further as it would be impossible to tell how previous mining activity and the impact this has had on the landscape would effect fracking activities.
There are also many residents, farms and tourist attractions that rely on clean air and soil to live and to contribute to the local economy which fracking activities would seriously threaten. Please ban this activity from West Lothian. It just isn’t worth the risk.

Under no circumstances should fracking be allowed to take place in Scotland. Nothing but an outright and permanent ban should be tolerated
