Last night me and my girlfriend were driving home from celebrating the 4th and some kids shot large fireworks are our car and completely shattered the windshield. We are both extremely shook up and feel that our lives were in danger in that moment. Also we have 5 cats and 2 dogs and they are terrified every year from all the loud fireworks that that are set off in our neighborhood. We live in North Little Rock where it is illegal to do fireworks and the penalty is only a $50 fine. Fifty dollar fine for using explosives next to my house and animals. This is borderline terrorism in my opinion and needs to be stopped.

I have pets who are terrified by fireworks and the continual barrage of them going off for days and weeks at a time, anytime during the year is unbearable. Also people who suffer from PTSD (particularly war veterans) may find the noise and loud bangs unbearable. Please please change the law to make fireworks only legal at organized displays.

Fireworks should be at organised events or only used in very large gardens that have no neighbours in close proximity. They should not be allowed at any time of the year, not on any day of the week & certainly not up to 11pm. This law is outdated & needs changing! My uncle was almost hit by 1 a few years ago in my back garden because of idiotic neighbours, the firework landed in a plant pot & exploded, sending debris flying. We were lucky we weren't hurt & more so, lucky my children weren't in the garden. The noise alone made my ears ring for several hours after.
